We can all agree that 2021 has an eventful year, even as we wish many of those events didn’t happen. Fortunately, E-Design was one of the leading design services that survived last year for reasons we’re all aware of, such as Covid-19. However, we have been able to carry out many unique projects in 2021 despite the challenges. One of them is this impressive mastered room for one of our dear clients.
Let me introduce you to PROJECT #PowerCoupleRetreat!
When we have a home that we love and feel comfortable in, EVERYTHING feels better. The sun shines brighter, everybody is happier, and things flow in the right direction. That’s the feeling I always strive to achieve through my designs. Currently, We’re working on a master bedroom project for a delightful couple from Coral Springs, Florida. Transforming their bedroom into the beautiful, functional, timeless, relaxing space specifically tailored to be them and their everyday needs. Here is how the project is developing:
IN THE BEGINNING…
I was thrilled when my clients contacted me about this project. I started working with them just a few months prior on their master bathroom, and we had just begun the virtual design process. Just as we were about to wrap up, my clients decided that they wanted their bedroom to have a refresh.
THE TEA
My clients are busy working professionals who recently moved into their new homes. The wife is an attorney, and her husband is a law enforcement officer. I was awestruck when I first laid eyes on their bedroom. It had these insanely large windows and a beautiful dark brown hardwood floor. It was noticeably one of the most beautiful bedrooms I had ever seen. Even though the space was empty, I could envision its enormous potential.
After our project planning call and completing our design questionnaire, we came up with their wishlist items.
- A bed with a tall headboard to help block the sun rays for the early mornings.
- Window treatments that are easy to clean and will not create dust issues will keep the room super dark at night and block the early morning sun.
- Keep the existing beautiful dark brown wood floors.
- Seating area for tea time in the day and cozy late-night reading at night.
- A design that’s not traditional. Something unexpected and different while also being timeless and classy.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The bathroom is bold and full of character. The patterned tiles, brass fixtures, and abstract backsplash create the ideal exotic, urban, and classy mix. So for the bedroom, I’m thinking whites, light brown, mixed shades of blue, or green for colors. I will incorporate unique features like brass furniture legs, a modern chandelier as a centerpiece, and textured furnishings or wall decor to add a little spice. I can envision it while writing this, and I am super-excited. The design will be spot-on – something classy yet unique!
BACK IN THE STUDIO
The next phase of this unique project was the conceptual design phase. We created a design concept, furnishing investment estimate, and a new proposed layout with 3D Renderings during this period.
THE NEXT PHASE
We take this concept, put everything into fruition, go shopping, and design! My clients will go and directly purchase the approved items in her design dashboard and finally make their dreams a reality. I can’t wait to share the final results with you guys. Stay TUNED!
